Helping Me Be the Me God Made Me to Be
 Worthy Student Fund Scholarship
Information & Application
2007-2008 School Year
The congregation of the Gettysburg Seventh-day Adventist Church recognizes the need that some families have in regards to insuring Christian education for their children. Because the congregation believes so highly in this they budget and receive free-will offerings on a weekly basis. They would like to grant those in need funds for this. The following system was set up and approved to aid in this process.

  Scholarship Rate Per Month
Family Income IRS 1st Child 2nd Child 3rd Child
$20,000 to $35,000 $45 $35 $25
$35,000 to $50,000 $35 $25 $15

These amounts are subject to review and could possibly increase in amount for this school year.
To apply for this financial aid families need to complete and return the backside of this form. Place it in a sealed and marked “Worthy Student Application” envelope. In addition include a copy of your 2006 Federal Income Tax Form. A copy of the tax form is necessary for your application to be processed.
All information will be kept strictly confidentialonly the Church Treasurer will actually view this information. The Treasurer will then utilize the above grid to determine how much financial aid is to be allocated. The Treasurer then labels and refers to applicants as Applicants A, B, C, D, etc. for review and approval by the Financial Aid Committee (includes Asst. Treasurer, School Treasurer, Principal, and Pastor). Approved applications are then submitted for review and final approval by the Church Board (who set the grid and determine how much money will be applied).
You will be notified as to your eligibility. There is no deadline for submitting this form, however, funds are more likely to be available at the beginning of the school year and will take about 30 days to process.
